Oohvie Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 3, 2026
Last Updated: November 3, 2026
Operator: HealthLynked Corp.
Website: https://oohvie.com
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how HealthLynked Corp. ("Oohvie," "HealthLynked," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through the Oohvie website, mobile application, and supporting services. It covers account information, technical information, service interactions, communications, transactions, and other personal information. It should be read together with the Oohvie Terms of Use at https://oohvie.com/terms-of-use/. Our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (available through the dedicated link on https://oohvie.com) provides additional disclosures and controls for menstrual, fertility, contraception, pregnancy, symptom, and other consumer health data. If the two policies differ regarding consumer health data, the more specific requirements of the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and applicable law control.
This Policy does not govern independent third-party services or the medical records of healthcare providers acting in their own capacity, which may have separate privacy notices and legal obligations.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Oohvie, we collect or process: account and contact details; authentication identifiers; preferences and notification settings; support messages and other communications; information related to purchases or optional services; health and wellness information entered in Oohvie; estimated cycle, ovulation, and fertility information generated from entries; and app and website usage information.
Health-related activity is collected by analytics technologies. Mixpanel receives events that can indicate period logging, symptoms, and birth-control selections. Google Firebase Analytics is enabled in the mobile app and includes support for advertising identifiers. The website uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for measurement and interaction analysis. Depending on the platform and event, information disclosed may include health-related activity labels or attributes, pages and screens visited, timestamps, IP-related information, device/browser identifiers, and session interactions. This information is not limited to anonymous technical diagnostics. See the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for further detail.
3. Sources of information
We obtain information from information you submit; your use of Oohvie and account features; estimates or records generated by the Service; the HealthLynked account established during registration; and, when relevant, app stores, payment systems, healthcare services you request, authentication systems, analytics providers, infrastructure vendors, and security providers. Data obtained from or disclosed to third parties remains subject to applicable privacy requirements.
4. Automatically created HealthLynked account
Registration for Oohvie also establishes a corresponding HealthLynked user account. Account identifiers and registration details may be used for secure account management and integration. Creating the account does not automatically transfer menstrual, ovulation, fertility, birth control, pregnancy-related, symptom, or other reproductive health entries into the user's HealthLynked personal health record. Those records are not placed in the HealthLynked patient record unless the user chooses to transfer them using available functionality. This does not mean that Oohvie app analytics vendors receive no health-related event data; see Sections 6 and 7 and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Transfer to a HealthLynked record and permission for a particular healthcare provider to access selected records are separate user-controlled decisions.
5. How we use information
We may use personal information to register and authenticate accounts; operate Oohvie and requested HealthLynked features; maintain period tracking, reminders, and available wellness tools; provide support; communicate service and security information; process authorized purchases or services; protect against misuse and fraud; maintain and improve reliability and usability; comply with law; and enforce applicable terms. Where permitted, we may analyze aggregate or properly de-identified information to understand product performance, conduct permitted research, and improve general features; any data must satisfy the applicable standards for de-identification. Use of identifiable consumer health data for independent research, unrelated marketing, or broader AI-model training will occur only if adequately disclosed and authorized under applicable law and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
6. Disclosures and service providers
Oohvie uses external companies and services for app analytics, website analytics, interaction recording, hosting, account operations, authentication, security, error diagnostics, communications and push notifications (when enabled), payments (where offered), and healthcare functions requested by users.
The specifically identified analytics recipients are Mixpanel and Google Firebase Analytics for mobile application analytics, and Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity for website analytics and interaction measurement. Mixpanel receives events involving menstrual tracking, symptoms, and contraception selections, potentially associated with identifiers and event metadata. Website analytics and interaction-recording services may receive page views, page URLs, clicks, session interactions, browser/device details, and health-related page context. Other service providers may receive personal information reasonably related to their functions, and may receive consumer health data when an event, message, or record includes such information.
HealthLynked Corp. operates Oohvie. A user may separately choose to transfer selected records from Oohvie to a HealthLynked patient health record, and separately control which healthcare providers access selected records. We may disclose information to other recipients when the user specifically directs an authorized transfer, in connection with a requested service, or when lawful process or other law authorizes or requires a disclosure.
Disclosure to an analytics company may constitute statutory sharing or, depending on applicable definitions and vendor arrangements, a sale, even without a direct sale of a medical-record database. We do not treat the use of Oohvie or acceptance of the Terms as a substitute for legally required consent or sale authorization. For details on categories shared, consent, and cross-site data collection, see the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
7. Cookies, analytics, and tracking
Oohvie and its third-party providers use cookies, tags, mobile analytics SDKs, and session-interaction technologies to measure website and app use, investigate technical problems, understand engagement, and improve features. These technologies may transmit health-related events and related identifiers, not merely general device diagnostics.
Mobile: Mixpanel can receive period-log events, symptom-related events, and birth-control selections. Firebase Analytics may receive app events, device and application identifiers, timestamps, and other data, and the installed configuration supports advertising identifiers. Whether an identifier is actually used for cross-app tracking depends on the configuration and applicable platform definitions.
Website: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may collect website navigation, page URLs, device/browser details, interaction events, and session-interaction data. Visits to reproductive-health pages can reveal or imply health interests. Analytics may operate when a visitor opens an applicable page or feature.
Cross-site consumer health data collection: Yes. The dedicated Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy provides the full disclosure. Where consent or platform authorization is required for a particular type of collection or sharing, it must be obtained before that activity unless an applicable exception allows it; reading this notice alone does not grant such consent. Browser and device preferences may provide additional controls but do not replace legally required choices.
8. Research, improvement, and automated calculations
Oohvie may perform automated calculations to estimate menstrual cycles, potential ovulation dates, and related trends in order to provide requested functionality. These estimates are not diagnoses, contraception, or a substitute for medical care. Operational analytics to maintain security and improve performance may be used as permitted by law and in accordance with the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Acceptance of the Terms of Use is not blanket consent to use identifiable reproductive health histories for independent scientific research, third-party marketing, or training general-purpose AI models. Where separate authorization is required, a specific notice and affirmative choice will be presented before such processing.
9. Communications and notifications
We may send important service, account, legal, and security communications and requested reminders. Optional marketing messages will be handled under applicable consent and unsubscribe requirements. Notifications may reveal sensitive context on a locked or shared device; users should consider device privacy settings and available in-app notification preferences. Delivery may depend on third-party network and device systems and cannot be guaranteed at every moment.
10. Payments and optional community services
If Oohvie offers purchases or subscriptions, payment and transaction processing may involve app stores, payment processors, or other authorized providers. We generally receive transaction information needed to recognize a purchase or provide support, rather than all financial account details held by the payment processor. If forums or direct messages are offered, the audience for each post or message depends on the selected feature and your settings. Other users may copy or disclose material you intentionally make visible to them. Any processing or sharing of consumer health data in these features is subject to our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and applicable consent requirements.
11. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for disclosed purposes, requested services, security, lawful operational needs, dispute resolution, or legal retention obligations. Different categories of data may have different periods, and some data may remain in restricted backups for the time permitted by law. You may request deletion of Oohvie information through the privacy contact methods. Because Oohvie registration also creates a HealthLynked account, deleting Oohvie records and closing a HealthLynked account may require distinct processing. Information voluntarily transferred to a HealthLynked health record, disclosed to a healthcare provider, or subject to legal retention requirements may have different treatment; we will explain applicable limits when processing a request. Consumer health data deletion follows the specific timelines and procedures in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and applicable state law.
12. Security
We recognize the sensitivity of reproductive and other personal health information. We are responsible for maintaining safeguards appropriate to applicable law and the risks presented by our systems and the technology services we use. No internet-connected product can guarantee that all security incidents will be prevented. If we discover a suspected unauthorized access or disclosure, we will assess it and provide any notices required by applicable law, including where applicable the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule and state breach-notification laws.
13. International processing
Some technology services supporting Oohvie may process information in the United States or other countries in which they operate. Rules and protections may vary by jurisdiction. Any processing outside a user's jurisdiction must comply with applicable privacy requirements, and additional location-specific information or protections will be provided where required.
14. Age and children
Oohvie is intended for individuals age 21 and older. We do not knowingly solicit the creation of Oohvie accounts by persons below the established eligible age. If we learn that an ineligible individual has submitted information, we will take appropriate action consistent with applicable law, including addressing deletion requests.
15. Privacy choices and legal rights
Depending on location and applicable law, you may have rights to confirm processing; access or obtain a copy of eligible information; request correction, deletion, or cessation of processing; learn about certain recipients; withdraw consent; and exercise other protections. Available in-app tools may allow you to view, update, and export selected records. Where a request cannot be completed through the app, you may contact us through the methods below. Consumer health data rights, including the Washington and Nevada procedures and deadlines, are described in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. We may authenticate requests to protect user privacy and may retain certain information where law allows or requires. We will not unlawfully discriminate against consumers for exercising privacy rights.
16. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy when our services, technology, law, or business practices change. We will provide required notices and obtain additional consent where legally necessary. The current effective date will appear above. Direct privacy inquiries to [email protected] or https://oohvie.com/contact/. Do not send detailed medical records through unsecured email unless instructed to use an appropriate secure process.
